Trained snipers move in on their targets at a snail’s pace!
Even moving at such a slow pace, a sniper needs to be stealth in order to get close to its target. One trick is to avoid landscapes with obvious points of reference, such as a lone tree or rock. It is easy to notice danger when you are able to measure and compare distances between objects such as rocks and trees. “Hey, wasn’t that bush closer to that tree yesterday?”
In combat, it is a good idea to withhold a point of reference from your opponent. For instance, if someone thrusts with a knife and you grab their arm, the attacker can use that hand as a point of reference during their next move. To avoid this, stay close, keep your contact centralized and minimal. The aim is to keep your the attacker from recalibrating. Good luck!
