Systema Stretching

I've been studying Systema for 30 years.  In that time, I've learned much about how this dynamic art can help you become a better martial artist.  But Systema has so much more to offer than simply making you a good fighter.  Its principles and concepts form the foundation of a healthy and vibrant lifestyle characterized by energy, longevity and ease in body, mind and spirit.

Sharing these health benefits in more depth with current students as well as introducing them to people outside the club is something I feel strongly and excited about!

Last month, I offered a 3-session breath work series where we explored the benefits of cold plunging to build resilience and manage stress that was attended by several people from across the FC community, including adults, youth and archery, as well as folks outside the Club.

I got great feedback from the group on how the program helped them to build a consistent practice for health and wellness and so, this month, I will be offering another seminar on Sunday, September 22 from 10-12pm.

This dynamic and interactive session will explore techniques in breathing, stretching and deliberate cold exposure that you can practice daily to help you:

  • reduce muscle tension and relieve stress

  • improve flexibility and range of motion

  • enhance mental clarity and focus

  • build resilience in your nervous system

If you are an existing student, this seminar will compliment your training by giving you the chance to dive deeper into some of the fundamentals we cover in class.

If you aren't currently training in Systema, this is an opportunity to learn simple strategies to help you develop and maintain an active and healthy lifestyle and join a vibrant community of great people.

If you know a good person outside the Club who you think could benefit from this work and our community, please share the link and invite them to join.

I look forward to seeing you there,

Emmanuel
